Had a superb game last night! Lotsa role playing, lotsa thinking fast on people's feet, lotsa treasure, experience, chances took... well everything. The role playing was terrific, I really love the table top games because you can truly effect what it going on in the game. The direction of play is set by everyone. The PC's care about the game settings and NPCs. It was way cool. We were up until late. I am still wayyy exhausted. Maybe I should take a nap. |

A small household accomplishment is still an accomplishment. Dave and I went to the grocery store - we took the list from the fridge. Then, we misplaced the list. Darn it, that's all the stuff we need. Once it's written down, I forget it - I have it written down. We shopped, and then - just like Fate's plans - we found the list in the car. Score! We only forgot the mushrooms. We didn't over-buy. We scored! I celebrated with a slurpee. Tonight for gaming, they need to kill a rogue phoenix. Dave's invited people over early and we are making a turkey. Irony! A roast bird before the roast bird.... bird roast? Should be epic. Lotsa stuff going on the game kinda swing on tonight's adventure. yeay. Looking forward. |

Saturday! Yeay! Yesterday, we got Sabrina the new Raving Rabbit's Wii game. I know, I know - I should have waited for Christmas. But she was on the demo web site every moment. She asked to play the older version. She really really wanted it. So, now I get to give her some extra things to do for me. Maybe I'll teach her to cut mats. |

EYIKES!!!! I bought the new Laurel K Hamilton Merry Gentry book. I do not have time to read it! I have more art and gaming things to get done. It taunts me. It calls to me. My plan is to resist until the night before running out to the New England Fan Experience ( http://www.nefanx.com/) over next weekend. But, I know I'm weak. If I just peek, I know I'll be lost. Maybe I can get Sabrina to hide it from me - until my work is done. I need to look into the Pathfinder system. Can't find the book locally, and thus I turn to the internet. there's a download - but I'd rather a printed copy. Maybe I can get a copy at the NEFE? It's weird to think I'm actually considering leaving D&D. I'm just looking into their ideas. My players will put up with whatever because I wind up putting together my own homebrew rules booklet and having it printed through lulu. They all get copies. Still, as a responsible GM, I need to do the research. The furnace is all fixed. I still have the lovely fire smells in the house. |

So today was one of the those days I wake up and just don't want to do any work. At all. I managed to piddle a few things I needed to, mostly cleaning up sketches. It was raining all morning, so the few paintings I actually had motivation for felt damp, and it's hard to work pencil into that. I'd love it to shift to snow, at least that keeps the room from feeling damp, might be colder, but at least I can crank the heat, feel justified in the action and get work done. Tonight was my first game of dodgeball in the NH league (We drink and play semi competitive sports, mostly we drink and have fun.) Grey team has some real dicks on it, they get a hit a few times and won't leave the field, but as soon as they think they hit one of us, the whole team starts chanting OUT and arguing with the ref. They also never join us at the bar afterward. :/ And to end, I have Eric Cartman's rendition of 'Poker Face' stuck in my head. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSEST-oQH68&feature=related |

Finally got my H1N1 vaccine today. As any one who lives in Ontario knows, i'ts not been a smooth process. Long lines and vaccine shortages. Things have been made worse with the death's of a couple kids and some healthy adults. I got there three hours before the start of the clinic and got bracelet number 213. NO too bad as \i had a drink, a book and my music player. A good thing as they were tons and tons of kids, running around, screaming, whining and makeing a chaotic scene even more chaotic. Can't really blame parents as kinds are in the high risk group (this was a clinic for high risk groups only). The line up got longer and longer but people were handling it well. The worst was when I got to the room where the actual shots were given. Boy is I thought the kids were bad outside! The screaming, sobbing and fit throwing made the smaller room into a complete hell. Then to have to sit for 15 minutes amongst the sobbing and tantruming kids was very stressful. I don't care for kids at the best of time but that room made my blood pressure go through the roof. Phew, glad it's over and that I just need to get the regular flu shot, which shouldn't be too insane. I hope. Current Mood: stressed |

Wow My fav routine from this week's SYTYCD. I wan't a big fan of Legacy (and it's hard to take that name seriously) but he really put his all into this routine. Great changes, nifty lifts and amazing choreography (kudos to Canadian Stacy Tukey (sp?). A feast for the eyes. Current Mood: sleepy |
